Times are a changin' for Turbo magazine. As you have just read a couple of pages prior, editor Evan Griffey is moving on after many years of running Turbo. I wish him the best in his upcoming endeavors and new life in Seattle. Evan still plans to write for the magazine thus he will still be around in some sense so fear not, loyal readers.
As our astute readers might have noticed already, I have been taking Turbo in a new direction the past couple of months as I have prepared to take over the reins of this "book," as we like to call it. In the past three issues I have tried to set Turbo apart from the many other automotive magazines on the newsstand by including more real content, mostly by the way of technical articles. I am big on substance, not fluff.
As I have written about before, I care that you, the readers, choose to spend your money buying this magazine so I want to make sure you get your money's worth. It's easy to fill pages with half-naked chicks and pseudo-technical gauge install articles but what do you really walk away with? I want you to actually gain knowledge that will stick with you to use later, not just some entertainment while you're sitting on the john.
I hope you continue to see the gradual changes in store for Turbo. This is also a great time for you to write in and give us your ideas about what you'd like to see in the magazine and any gripes as well.
