No, Vanilla Ice isn't making a comeback. However, ICE Inc., Denver's only cryogenic material enhancement facility and manufacturer of high-tech, computerized, dry cryogenic material enhancement equipment, just completed the final stage of performance testing on their line of NGK manufactured, cryogenically enhanced ICEPlugs. Independent dyno testing showed consistent horsepower gains of up to 6 percent. This gain was demonstrated by dyno testing both test vehicles (a four- cylinder sport compact and an eight-cylinder sedan) in back-to-back comparisons of horsepower output at the wheels. First using new, standard specification NGK plugs and immediately followed by using a new set of the same NGK spark plug with the cryogenically enhanced ICEPlugs. By applying its cryogenic technology to the spark plugs, ICE achieves a significant reduction in the material grain boundaries that cause electrical resistance. By removing these grain boundaries, more electrical energy is transferred to the spark, thus resulting in increased performance. Trippin LSD
Making power is one thing, but getting it to the ground is a different story. The factory open differential can waste power by applying too much power to one wheel. To remedy the power loss a limited differential should be added. American Motorsports Co. released a helical-cut limited-slip differential capable of handling up to 800 hp for sport compact vehicles. With the addition of a limited-slip differential, both wheels provide equal power distribution, which allows for better stability around tight cornering.
