The "Turbo Magazine Midnight Oil Award" went to Rafeal Estevez and the Drag Race Technologies (DRT) crew. After blowing up a new sleeved engine in qualifying, they sent a technician back to the DRT shop in Woodside, N.Y. to fetch the block-guarded short block that was in the car at Gainesville. In Florida, this engine was de-tuned to 606 hp and powered the twin-turbo Civic to a 9.49 with an AEM EMS computer overseeing engine operation. View Related Article
