Kenny Tran survived a wild ride in eliminations, where he came within inches of the wall, to advance to the Turbo Magazine Hot Rod finals. The Quaker State crew was hoping the rain delay would become a postponement because the Quaker State Civic had a blown head gasket. As it turned out, the Honda was raced with no coolant but a clutch slave cylinder failure caused a red light. Tran did set the mph record in the class at Gainesville. View Related Article
