Stillen is known not just for its racing heritage, but also for its generous open house parties. Last year over 800 350Z and G35 enthusiasts stormed Stillen's headquarters and overfilled the parking lots to show off their rides. Fans of Steve Millen flocked from all over the country to get a glimpse of his facility that houses the factory, R&D, and service center.
This year's open house matched the numbers and excitement in the air. So many people turned out that the police barricaded the street and directed traffic. The Stillen crew threw a great event with lots of activities to keep everyone entertained. Some of the bonuses included: free food (always a plus), raffles, factory tours, seminars, product Q&A, immediate installations of products, the car show and of course the big hit - the dyno.
Like a hands-on children's museum, Stillen displayed their 50-state-legal forced induction kit for Z and G35 enthusiasts to touch and inspect. Other items also up for sale for the Z and G included: suspension parts, sway bars, camber adjusters, engine dampeners and strut bars. Stillen is, of course, also known for their popular urethane bodywork available for the 350Z and G35. In addition to Stillen's products they also invited out other Nissan/Infiniti parts distributors such as ACT, Eibach and Mackin Industries.
The highlight of the day was the opportunity for everyday Nissan owners to test out their vehicles and see for themselves the difference in horsepower the aftermarket products made. Big crowds huddled around the dyno as enthusiasts unleashed their road warriors on the rollers. The loud, frantic scream of engines hitting redline was music to everyone's ears.
The Stillen open house was fun and everyone seemed to drive away satisfied. You can bet this will be another blowout event next year too.
