Well-kept, original-owner... Well-kept, original-owner vehicles are pretty much the norm at JCCS. The owner of this first-gen CRX outfitted with one of HKS' original turbocharger kits managed to hang on to owner's manuals and aftermarket product literature dating back more than 20 years. We've always had a thing for... We've always had a thing for Starions over here. Of course, we'd likely swap out the powerplant for a 4G63 but, hey, we'll take what we can get. We weren't expecting to see... We weren't expecting to see this: Take one L-series engine block, hack up a few twin-cam KA cylinder heads and fit two turbochargers in place. The inline's intake manifold, valve cover and exhaust manifold were all custom built by a guy with, no doubt, some extra time on his hands. We haven't seen something we liked this much but made so little sense since the guy who fit the Prelude engine in his Integra's trunk. To truly appreciate the wonder... To truly appreciate the wonder that is the rotary engine, you've got to appreciate the Cosmo. Mazda's Cosmo was the first mass-produced vehicle to feature the Wankel-derived, twin-rotor engine.
