The H22A has been de-stroked to displace two liters and filled with billet APEXi-produced internals. The VTEC effect has been deleted because, as a race engine, the powerplant will operate above the VTEC transition speed, so the effect's benefits are lost. The engine has been configured to rotate clockwise, which is opposite from stock. This was done so the H22A could be teamed with an X-Trac six-speed sequential gearbox.
