Bringing the Turbo XS boost controller into the picture increased pressure from 16 psi to 19 psi. Even though the O2 voltage was still in the .90 range, the injectors were reaching their limits. They could be partially clogged or dirty. The boost adjustment netted 319.8 hp and 348.7 lb.-ft or torque. The Galant gained 48.3 hp and 46 lb.-ft of torque. Since inception of the build-up series, output has rocketed from 190.6 hp and 198.2 lb.-ft of torque to 319.8 hp and 348.7 lb.-ft of torque, a total gain of 129.2 hp and 150.5 lb.-ft of torque. Wow.

What's next for our Galant? We have not installed the TMO ECU and plan to use it for the next round of modifications. So far we have once again been able to elude fuel cut, temporarily. But the added feature of an increased rev limiter will become necessary with an even larger turbo and camshaft swap. Also part of the Galant's future are an upgraded ignition, T3/T4 Garrett turbo kit, a set of 550cc injectors, a set of Crower street grind cams and possibly an intake and throttle body. With these proposed mods, DDP should smash the 400-whp goal to bits.
