2000 Honda Civic EX
Kimberly Cates
Yes, we know it's a four-door. So does Kimberly Cates. She got it because she was having a kid and figured the four-door would best accommodate her child and the fact that it's a Civic would accommodate her need for performance. Since the car is relatively new and Cates was pregnant at the time, the mods are somewhat limited. However, she assures us her kid will ride in style when she hooks this Honda up.
Under the hood, an Injen intake enhances airflow into the engine, while silicone hoses help keep the vital fluids flowing. A set of Eibach ProKit springs lower the car to give it a more aggressive look in addition to the 18-inch Neeper Fly wheels wrapped with Toyo Proxes rubber.
Outside, a Wings West body kit further sets this four-door Civic apart from every other commuter four-door. Altezza-style taillights take care of rearward lighting. Custom neon lights combined with custom vinyl graphics round out the exterior.
1997 Honda Civic EX
Melissa Mohr
Melissa Mohr had her car submitted to us along with a few others by Serenity Sound Performance. Guess they kinda liked her car, eh?
Under the hood, the Civic sports a 5Zigen Fireball exhaust, DC Sport ceramic header, adjustable cam gear and Tenzo cold air intake. The valve cover was polished and a Do-Ken blue dress up kit added for enhanced aesthetics.
Suspension duties have been handed off to a set of Progress lowering springs, Tokico HP struts, a LightSpeed anti-roll bar and Tenzo front and rear strut tower bars. Brakes have been upgraded with Brembo cross-drilled rotors and are squeezed by EBC Green Stuff pads.
A Stalker front kit with Mgen sides and rear make up the initial phase of body enhancement. Custom vinyl graphics along with carbon fiber hood and projector headlights round out the exterior. Mohr's Civic rolls on 5Zigen 18-inch SO-8s wrapped with Falken ZE502s sized 215/35R-18.
Inside, a custom gray vinyl interior replaces the stock accoutrements, along with a Tora-Sport dash kit, APC Speed-Glow gauges and Tenzo short shifter, E-brake and pedals.
Mohr's pride and joy comes from the bitchin' sound system, which is headed up with a Kenwood 8015 head unit and 10-disc changer. Phoenix Gold EQ215 and two ZX600TIs route tunes through two Image Dynamics IDQ12s, ADS 335is and the necessary voltage is delivered by a set of Tsunami wires and circuit breaker in conjunction with Phoenix Gold power distribution blocks.
1998 Plymouth Neon
Alexis Madden
Who says domestics can't keep up with imports? Alexis Madden's Neon is fixed up to do just that, and look good doing so. An Iceman intake, Remus exhaust and 8.5mm Magnecor wires connected to Bosch platinum plugs free some extra power from the 2.0-liter engine.
This Dodge turns heads with the addition of a Wings West body kit and three-piece tunnel wing. In the lighting department, second-gen Altezza-style taillights, PIAA superwhite bulbs, Catz fog lights and APC projection headlights keep the road lit up like an old Christmas tree.
Inside, Madden's attention focused on a custom paint job, carbon fiber dash kit and gauge overlay. APC Indiglo gauges, a set of Razo carbon fiber pedals and various Momo accents round out the looks department. The stereo system consists of a JVC head unit with CD-changer pumping tunes through Rockford Fosgate speakers and sub.
Madden's biggest has been that the car has been keyed seven times and the wing stolen once. When will people learn a little respect?
