Tran Lands Multi-Year Sponsorship DealThe 2002 SEMA show was the scene of the official announcement of a major sponsorship deal for NHRA Hot-Rod star Kenny Tran. The Quaker State Oil company will be the main sponsor for Tran's Hot-Rod Class Honda Civic in what promises to be a thrilling future for Team Jotech.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Quaker State is one of the largest automotive lubricant companies in the United States.

The multi-year deal with Quaker State is a major boost for sport compact drag racing in the United States. Tran had a fantastic year in 2002, setting new standards for the FWD unibody class with a world record 8.591-second pass and several 172 mph plus passes. After fighting mechanical woes early in the year Tran bounced back with a re-structured team and finished the year in third place in the prestigious NHRA national championships
"I'm sure we can make a serious challenge for the title in 2003," says Tran. "We will be testing extensively over the winter break.
