I know I'm not the normal type around here, but I'm looking for some help from the import world. I want to build an engine to put in my 1985 Chevy C-10 street truck. To everyone in my area, that means a small or big block chevy V-8, but I want something different. I have a 292ci inline 6 that I want to build into a 350+/- hp turbo motor, but I have no idea where to start. Any help, insights, and tips on this setup would be greatly appreaciated!!!

So i have never worked on a tuner before, iv done alot of V8 stuff and i am a tech, but seeing as how i have no experiance with tuners i thought i would start here. a friend of mine bought a 91 talon 4G63T (turbo) FWD. and he asked me if i would rebuild it for street racing. the budget i have to work with is about $7,000 and that has to include a new trans and clutch. i was thinking about dished pistons, a bigger turbo, bigger cam, better rockers/valve springs, ecu upgrade, bigger injecters, and update the ignition system. ik he said $7000 but ik it will cost more for all of what i put up there. so what i want to know is where am i going to get the best bang for my buck since i have to pull the engine and rebuild it anyway i figured we mite as well update it and bore it as well. any advice or ideas would be great...

i was wondering if preshure inside your intake manifold from a turbo effects any other systems. such as the vacume booster for the breaks. it is directly hooked up to the intake manifold and works off the vacume created... so what happens when theres boost insted of vacume?

I have a civic '88 body with a b16a1 100% stock engine and 300shot of NOS. I want to set a 10sec record in two weeks and after that I will start on a new project. My best time now is 11.88sec and I will use a 400shot on the 10th of july on the dragstrip in Holland. They say it can't be done without modifications but hey I will give it a shot. Maybe I should consider using a turbo? :grin:

Hi guys I’m working on a 67' ChevII and I’m doing a custom 3 link on it. Im replacing the frame rails and adding a cross member to mount the links to. Now I have the x member and the frame rails tacked in. I was looking at the whole deal and it looks like I can drop the whole pig out. My question is: now that I have the rear rails and x member tacked and measured out for the car, can I remove the whole unit and complete it out of the car? Or should I just weld it up in the car? Some of the parts I need to get to and weld are very hard to reach, this would make it alot easier as you can imagin. Request assistance please

ok i have been at this for some time now trying to figure out whats going on with my ride, first a little info on it , is a 95 Dodge Neon, with a 2.4 DOHC SRT turbo. fully built 8:1.1 compression, AGP Wategate actuator rated @ 14psi. THe issue im having is that my boost gauge which is tapped at the intake throttle body nipple doesnt peg anymore than say 3-4 psi, but the car is pulling nicely...why is this, my Vac is around -20/-22, and ive tried using 2 diffrent boost gauges by Autometer. so i know my gauge is not broken. the Wastegate as mentioned is rated for 14 psi, why am i not seeing that on the gauge? I have done several boost leak tests and found no leaks whatsoever. ive replaced the wastegate twice trying to eliminate issues , but i have the same problem, can anyone help, and also my fuel is intact @ 11.9-12.4 sometimes even richer than that, so i know im getting fuel...this just really sucks
