2) Lube the Tomei camshafts using moly lube to ensure proper break-in. Place the new camshafts in the same position as the old units, but be sure the lash pads and rocker arms are in good condition and set in their proper place. The exhaust cam is distinguished by its distributor slot on the opposite end of the cam sprocket side and must be placed towards the driver side of the vehicle. With the cams in place, set the intake sprocket dowel pin at the 10 o'clock position and the exhaust dowel pin at 12 o'clock. This ensures the cams are set at TDC. View Related Article
