This particular piston is the original design but the new JE pistons we'll be using are custom sets for both engines. Gas ports were drilled in to ensure a better ring seal. Contact reduction grooves were cut into the piston to improve top ring land contact with the cylinder wall. An accumulator groove was also added to the pistons. View Related Article
