Some coaxing and gentle tapping with a rubber mallet will help to remove the housing as the two pieces separate.

The reverse gear shaft and idler gear needs to be moved before attempting to pull the assembly out of the transmission.

Remove the two 12mm bolts and reverse shift fork.

In order to keep the gears in one piece, the mainshaft assembly, countershaft, and shift forks were removed together and placed in a safe area to minimize damage.

The underachieving factory differential we plan to replace was removed.
