Brian found a serious problem with the factory housing when inspecting it for any problems. The K-powered CRX distorted one of the dowel pins used to keep the two transmission pieces aligned. Rather than pound the hole back into a perfectly round shape, which was nearly impossible, Brian took a grinder and file to rid it of excess aluminum surrounding the dowel and ensure the housings fit snug when reassembling.
