Mitsubishi Evo AMS Fuel Surge Tank - Don't Starve Your Car To Death

Remove the canister bracket that is held on by two 8mm bolts.

Pay special attention when installing the four AN fittings and observe the correct flow before tightening.

With the help of a friend (if you have one) take the shielded lines and carefully route them over your rear subframe.

Ensure that there's enough clearance and the abrasion resistant sleeves, holding the lines in place are free from any snags.

The 45-degree AN fitting was clocked incorrectly when we first installed the unit. Be sure not to force the surge tank into place before checking to see if the fitting has proper clearance.

Using the Painless fuel pump kit, lead the large yellow wire from the relay through the undercarriage grommet to the fuel pump on the surge tank. The thin yellow wire will be connected to the factory fuel pump signal (large white wire) found directly under the carpet on the passenger side rear seat.

The red wire is led all the way from the rear as it makes its way under the fender and though the rubber grommet into the engine compartment.

The Painless relay is securely mounted in the trunk. Be sure proper contact is made with the ground.

Drill a hole in the fuse box and run the wire to the ACC ignition fuse terminal.
