The original 16302 FPSC required the user to adjust the rpm threshold to full voltage by way of a screwdriver pot accessible through a plug in the front panel. The new 16306 FPSC features a push button that, when the engine speed is at the desired crossover rpm, is simply pressed in order to set into memory. Given the fact the Aeromotive FPSC has always had sufficient adjustment range to handle engines from four to 10 cylinders, this eliminates fooling around to get the precise rpm set point desired.
